Office and Commercial Joinery in Nairobi
Commercial joinery is a different specification
Domestic joinery is opened a few times a day. A tea-point cupboard in a busy Upper Hill office is opened a few hundred times a day, and the difference shows within a year.
Commercial work means heavier carcass material, better hardware, hinges and runners rated for substantially more cycles, and edge banding that survives being knocked by a chair rather than just looking correct on the day.
Specifying domestic joinery for a commercial fit-out is the most common way an office refit disappoints, and it is a specification error rather than a workmanship one.

Installing around a working business
Offices cannot lose their reception or their tea point during working hours. We install in the evenings and at weekends, staged so that each area is usable again by the next working morning.
For buildings in Upper Hill and along Ralph Bunche Road that is not a preference, it is a requirement of the building management, and it shapes the programme from the start.
Converted houses
A large part of Nairobi’s office stock is converted residential: houses around Kilimani, Hurlingham and Milimani now operating as offices. Those need tea-point and storage joinery designed for domestic room proportions and commercial use at the same time, which is a genuinely different brief from a purpose-built floor plate.
