About Nairobi Custom Cabinets
We are a Nairobi joinery workshop. Fitted kitchens, built-in wardrobes, walk-in closets, media walls and commercial joinery: designed, made and installed by the same people, rather than imported flat-packed or subcontracted to whoever is free that week.
How we work
- We template on site after plastering, against the wall that was actually built.
- Marine plywood on the sink run regardless of budget: it is where water is a certainty.
- Every cut edge sealed, because an unsealed MDF edge is what actually fails.
- Worktops templated only after units are set and levelled, never before.
- Delivery route measured before cutting, so any panel joint is placed by design.
- Staged payments with an M-Pesa receipt at each stage. No large sum before drawings are approved.
What we will tell you
Where spending more genuinely lasts longer (the carcass, the hinges) and where it mostly does not. If your room cannot take an island with working clearance, we will say so before you have paid for a design. If a freestanding wardrobe would serve you better than built-in joinery, we will say that too.
Credentials and the warranty
Our registration, our insurance cover and the workmanship warranty period all appear in writing on the quotation, before you pay anything. So does the board specification, which matters more than most buyers realise: a warranty means very little if the carcass behind the door is standard MDF in a Nairobi kitchen.
Ask for the same from anyone else quoting. Ask specifically what the warranty covers, because hinges and runners are where fitted furniture actually fails, and they are frequently excluded.
